Will Huetinck

Will Huetinck, Director of Dragonfly, has many years of experience in the field of education, cultural travel and adventure tourism.

He has been a teacher since 1993 with experience in Taiwan and Hong Kong. After some years at an International school in Hong Kong he was drawn to the field of outdoor learning.

" After returning from a program I would see a real change in my students. They would gain confidence in themselves, show more initiative in their school work and work better with others."

Will has coordinated and developed outdoor programs in several Asian countries including Nepal, China and Thailand. These ranged from day programs locally to 5 week treks to remote regions.

Xiong Xiao Jun (XJ)

XJ (XIONG Xiao Jun) is originally from Guangxi, China, where he has worked for many years in the outdoor industry. Our relationship together began in 2001 in Yangshuo, China, where XJ worked leading groups on rock climbing, mountain biking and caving expeditions.

His experience ranges from the outdoor equipment retail industry, guiding for several prestigious local and foreign tour operators in China and leading and planning outdoor activities programs.

Trekking in Tibet (Everest base camp), Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi, and Guizhou are some of the highlights of XJ's personal accomplishments in his outdoor lifestyle. He is a CMA (China Mountaineering Association) and certified rock climbing instructor. He is certified in First Aid and CPR. In addition to his past outdoor and leadership experience, XJ's expertise in western China and his passion for outdoor learning have made him an essential part of the Dragonfly team.
