Dragonfly Summer Programs 2009
Secondary Courses (ages 12-17)
Our secondary courses combine some of the best sites in Hong Kong with exciting activities. The locations include pristine beaches for kayaking and games, beautiful islands for snorkeling, coastal rock faces for abseiling, village and hill biking, and a day of surfing. Students can join us for just a day, any three days on the schedule, and any five days or more.
Courses are open to all, from beginners to the more experienced. Groups will be divided according to ability, to ensure safety and a progression of skills for everyone. All participants must use safety equipment such as helmets and life jackets.

Primary Courses (ages 8-11)
Dragonfly's primary courses are designed to engage young learners in a variety of activities each day. We want them to have a fun and exciting day while learning new skills, making new friends, and enjoying outdoor sports and creative activities.
Most of the day trip sites are on Hong Kong Island, making it easy for younger kids, while parents know their children are close to home. Easy pick up and drop off in Central and Kowloon Tong make it convenient for parents as well.
Courses are open to all. Participants must use safety equipment such as helmets and life jackets, and are chaperoned at all times.
Course Program:
| Day 1 | (Monday): Stanley Kayaking and Beach Games The course starts with group games on the beach. Students make friends, get to know each other, and have fun in the outdoors. Later, we learn some basic kayaking skills, cool off in the water and get out of the sun beneath the trees. |
| Day 2 | (Tuesday): Tai Tam Orienteering The fun continues with teambuilding games for kids. In the morning we work in small groups to complete challenges and learn basic map and compass skills. In the afternoon we apply these skills and teamwork in an orienteering race. |
| Day 3 | (Wednesday): Shek-O Creative Games and BBQ This day focuses on creative activities, with arts and crafts like tie-dye, camp cooking where we make our own bread, a BBQ and afternoon beach games. |
| Day 4 | (Thursday): Mui Wo Biking We get off of Hong Kong Island for one day with a day trip to Lantau Island. The location is excellent for novice to intermediate bikers. We practice and ride in small groups according to ability. Most first-time bikers learn to ride in one lesson! |
| Day 5 | (Friday): Ocean Park What better way to end the week than with a day at Ocean Park. Our leaders chaperone the students the whole time while experiencing the fun and excitement only Ocean Park has to offer. |
